Dr. Richard Dion was born in Alberta, Minnesota in 1935. He became a Christian in the Fall of 1952 under the preaching of Evangelist John Linton. He served 8 years in the United States Naval Reserve. Two of those years were served on the USS Casa Grande LSD-13. In 1956, he married Kathleen Duvick in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have 7 children and 23 grandchildren now.
His ministries have included: Protestant Lay Leader on the USS Casa Grande from 1957 to 1959; Youth Pastor at the First Baptist Church in Faribault, Minnesota from 1960 to 1963; Pastor of First Baptist Church in Elkton, South Dakota from 1963 to 1967; and Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Great Falls, Montana from 1967 to present.
Richard Dion is a graduate of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, and has received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary (1981).
He is the founder of Treasure State Academy, a Christian school for grades K3 through 12, (1981); and Mountain States Baptist College (1981).
His life verse is Joshua 1:9: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Pastor Marc Elledge was born in Seattle in 1946 to parents that emphasized hard work and discipline. He played football and wrestled one year in college. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve for 6 years, ending his career as a platoon sergeant in a 4th Recon.
In the summer of 1968 he met his wife, Cheryl Iverson, in Yellowstone National Park, where he saved her from drowning in the Firehole River. Four months later at an Athletes in Action Bible Study breakfast, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. He and Cheryl were married in December of 1968, and have been blessed with five children and four grandchildren.
Pastor Elledge is a graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary, and received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from Mountain States Baptist College.
He has served the Lord as Associate Pastor for 27 years at Fairview Baptist Church.
